Timestamps: A perfect day in Sunbridge, hour by hour.

We think the best days are the ones where the place you call home reminds you why you moved there. Where daily routines meet pausable interludes. Where memorable moments don’t need planning because they’re waiting around the corner.

It’s the kind of day where walkability, community connection and access to nature don’t require extra effort. They’re simply built in.

We’ve mapped out the perfect day in Sunbridge, and you’ll see how easily it comes together. Because here, a great day isn’t something you schedule. It’s something you live.

8:21 am: coffee on your back porch

Catch glimpses of swallowtail butterflies flitting above coneflowers to the soundtrack of birdsong.

A light morning breeze carries through the open sliding doors, connecting your porch to the living room.

You’re reminded that your front and back porches are true extensions of your home and the outdoors.

11:24 am: fresh ingredients for the day

Under sunny blue skies, you make your way to Basecamp and catch the weekly Yoga on the Green session in front of the yurts.

Familiar faces of neighbors wave hello. Afterward, conversations linger and plans for an afternoon trail hike take shape.

Invigorated from yoga, you make the quick 10-minute drive to Publix to pick up a few essentials for tonight’s dinner.

Most of the meal features the fresh produce you discovered at the farmer’s market a few days ago.

Back home in your bright kitchen, you slice crisp carrots for a spicy slaw, the perfect complement to barbeque chicken marinated in Jimmy Bear’s BBQ sauce (a new favorite you’re convinced belongs on everything from now on)!

2:00 pm: a guided hike

You and the kids meet up with another family at the Florida Headwaters Foundation for one of their guided hikes offered each month.

You’re on the trails several times a week, whether biking with the kids or jogging, but this tour is a whole different experience. It’s a chance to learn about native plants and chain of lakes that shape Sunbridge’s waterways, showing just how much nature is part of life here.

4:45 pm: pool break

The hike has you and the kids craving a chance to cool off. Back home (which, luckily, isn’t far from Basecamp), you grab towels, do a quick wardrobe change and cannonball into the pool at Acorn Park.

Community access lets you come and go throughout the day. And like so many things in Sunbridge, it’s just an easy walk away, making impromptu time-outs from the Florida sun effortless (and yes, available year-round).

6:30 pm: picnic in the park

After drying off and changing, you return to your back porch – the same spot where your morning began with coffee and a little quiet – to grill the chicken.

You pack up your meal and cooler and step out your front door to return to the green of Acorn Park, where the evening’s festivities are already underway.

Those familiar faces from earlier in the day are parked on a blanket nearby, and you share some of your jalapeño-carrot cole slaw, earning nods and murmurs that confirm its spicy success.

7:30 pm: under the stars

Dusk settles in to reveal a sky full of twinkling stars. A dazzling display considering how close you are to everything in Orlando. The kids quiet down, their day spent winding through trails and swimming at the pool begins tugging at their eyelids.

The naturehood begins its own nighttime routine, with limpkins and the occasional barred owl’s hoot heard over a rising chorus of trilling, chirping frogs.

You roll up the blanket, whisk the children home on your back and tuck them into bed. A little time later you find yourself chatting into the evening as your porch becomes a spontaneous meet-up for neighbors who aren’t ready to call it a day.

Which is fine – you aren’t quite ready either.

The perfect day at Sunbridge is closer than you think. Explore our available homes, or better yet, schedule a visit and stop by Basecamp.
